@TexWisGirl Unfortunately, I do not know what kind of bird this is. I do know it's not a cockatiel, since cockatiels have hooked, notched beaks. I have some as pets! :-)
Most interesting, especially with that little dab of blue beneath the back of the crest! With a beak like that, it would seem to be a seed eater. Was this in the wild, Lisa?
Ohh, this little one is a very precious one. Beautiful bird with a touch of wonderful light blue.
Dear Lisa, you can take pictures of birds in a such way that I feel tenderness toward them. This little one is so fragile and unprotected with huge eyes watching and looking at something.
Recently I saw a beautiful hawk and I even didn't get out of car to take picture of him. I knew before I will approach him, he will be gone. It takes a lot of patience to take a picture like you did, Lisa.
Splendid and unique picture of this precious bird.
Lisa what a gorgeous "mystery bird". and how much fun to go to the butterfly conservatory! This is such a great photo and love the background blurring. Great work, as usual! You are such an inspiration
What incredible detail - that spot of bright turquoise blue is amazing. You are definitely the master of making the subject pop off the background - the texture work is lovely - almost looks like vintage wallpaper.
Um. totally a WOW shot. Love that tuft of blue and the way you procesed the back drop. Totally unrelated....I saw magnolia blossoms on Gina's blog. Jus' sayin'. I know you love 'em.
wow, u're pics are really incredible! so clarity and in this one the background is misterious and give a soft sensation of calm. like it a lot! cheers!
Ahhh, how adorable! I love how the colors in this little one pop off the muted background texture. His topknot and expression looks a little disheveled! Hope Miss Kitty is not close by! ;-)

I'm not sure but it looks like it may be a Jay from down under.

I've never seen a bird like that--kind of a mix between a cockatiel and cardinal and bluejay! Love the texture.
