I love moss. I even try to grow it myself in my yard. I make liquid mix from natural yoghurt and moss and then I brush stones with that liquid. Next year they are little green and it is growing:) I use moss with flower arrangements. I'm so glad you like it now too:)

I always admire you very much to get up the creative Exchange. You need to awake until around 3 AM. It is very hard forme. By the way ,there is very a famous moss temple at Kyoto in Japan. Many people would go there to look at the moss garden. It is very fantastic. So I like moss very much.

Goodmorning Lisa,
Nature keeps on giving. Every day there is something new to discover, and this moss experience you had is special.
What mysterious images their growth provided.

Great lesson in sometimes taking the time to look at things a second or third time. I love moss but mostly for it's dampness and spongy qualities - rarities usually in the dryness of the Australian bush (which I still see as "my" landscape) Didn't know that it flowers though, will have to keep a look out for little flowers next time I'm around some mossy patch.

These shots are so natural and magical! We have lots of moss here and by the door step something grows which looks like a mossy weed but we don't touch it. Just once it flowered and everyone commented on it. xo

Wonderful. I like shooting moss. Here it tends to grow on brick walls and things. Which is usually at a good height.

Great macros, Lisa. With all the rain we've been getting, I could probably find some moss growing behind my ears. ;)

I had no idea there was so much interest in moss. Doesn't it just show how much more you see when you look through the lens of a camera. Or maybe through the ideas of any type of creativity, whether it's a photo, design journal, or the written word. Thanks so much for such lovely photos - I'm off out to make close acquaintance with some moss :-)

I fell in love with moss a while back when I came across a photo spread on how a woman used it in her garden. It was exquisite! Your photos bring to life something we over look daily!
