Hi Lisa, What a beautiful flower and what a great video. It must be amazing seeing it opening in front of your eyes. If you have the time. Take a look on my blog. There is a surprise for you. The winner is..... Warm Regards, Andrea
Oh I agree, Lisa. We really should make every moment matter and find its real meaning for us.
And I love your primrose. Too bad my PC is so slow I can not see the third image ;-( The image I'm showing is quite blurred but it is because I was looking back and no matter how much I shoot this particular scene it comes out strange. So not creative. I'm sorry, Lisa. I will try to do a better one next time ;-)
Lisa, it is so amazing to see a flower bloom! I have never seen it and I never knew that evening primrose behaves that way. Your photos are very beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing it to us and for inspiring and reminding us to make each moment count. Have a blessed day!
I like the long, tapered buds and the yellow flowers. We used to have some of these plants and watched them open in the evening. Your video captures this perfectly!
that's very neat. i did not know they opened so quickly. we get the pink evening primrose growing wild here and i've never sat and watched them open. i did know that they only last a little while. :)
Hi Lisa, Thanks for highlighting this fascinating flower! The addition of the video was fun. I've enjoyed that quote (or a version of it) before. Such a wonderful reminder - I'll look to appreciate and take advantage of the special moments that this week is sure to hold :) Wishing you a delightful week!!!
That's pretty incredible. I've heard of evening primrose-now I know what it is. I loved seeing that little film. This "one night" life reminds me of dragonflies who live such a short span as well. Something to ponder. Hope to link up in a timely manner this week.

This flower reminds me a little of a flower that my grandmother used to keep. Can't quite remember the name, but it only flowered at night and gave off the most amazing smell. We used to go around to her house at 10-11pm to watch it open and drink in the smell. It'd be gone by the morning too.
We have an abundance of primroses here in Texas - mostly pink - and I never knew they opened so quickly! I think your video was great!! Thanks for sharing. I'm either inspired or educated every time I come here. Or both. :)

The progression of the outbreak is of great subtlety Lisa! There is always conscientiously in the creativity of your images! Even if the photograph of the flowers is not really my record, I love watching this work so bright and delicate! Good day Lisa!
can't believe summer is really here already - and the longest day of the year - love your entry this week - isn't it amazing how wonderful nature is - and all we have to do is open our eyes and SEE it!!

Beautiful and short-lived! I remember the proverb that Beauty and long life seldom go hand in hand.
Amazing just in 30 seconds you really have to bee there or you loose everything:)
This is cool, Lisa. It's like a Fast Forward. Is this where Evening Primrose Oil is extracted from?
