I know that feeling - I get it on the first day of a holiday when I know there are another 13 days stretching out in front of me. But it goes so quicky...

Fine and delicate shades of white, subtle mauve, with a soft texture. Very nice.

I love the way you put that - full of possibility! I am kind of envious with you. I hope you had a great time in Boston!

Beautiful image and I agree with your sentiments, life does tend to get in the way. Never give up your dreams.

A stunning flower shot, as usual, Lisa! Enjoy your break.

Hi Lisa. I found your blog by reading your profile.I like knowing a bit more about what makes the artist.

Lovely photograph, so delicate and suave!

Your words ring true to many of us, myself included.

Enjoy the holidays!

Your image is, as always, gorgeous and amazing! Flowers are your intimate friends. My sister is a teacher also and expresses the same feelings that you have. Her first days of summer vacation are such a blissful time - she sits by the pool and soaks up the sun. I am blessed to have studio time everyday, which I greatly appreciate, but there are trade-offs in every situation. Enjoy your summer!!!

I'm with you on that "middle of May" thing. Enjoy Spring's bounty and (hopefully) nice weather . . . and enjoy Boston.

Great mid-May photo, by the way.

Your photo today is delicious! You've described your feelings wonderfully! I don't work (sorta retired) and I feel like that almost every day! Of course life does get in the way - a lot, but still I'm excited to get going every morning.

Ahhh...a very soft, pretty and calming little flower. Since becoming a Mom my daily life feels anything but calm and reflective :-) But when I do catch a break I appreciate it so much more than I ever used to. Enjoy your mini vacation!

Beautiful shot Lisa, I love the pale pink against the white. While no children of our own, my husband, head of school, has many K-8th graders eagerly awaiting their summer break. I know he is in the same needing a break mode right now. :-) Enjoy your free time!

Hope you are enjoying your little mini vacation!! You deserve it. Love your photo. I'd like to submit regularly to the CE but does it have to be something I've taken this week or can it be from the archives?

Woof Amy, Keeper feels the same way. May is the opposite in our place because June is the start of classes. And June is our rainy month. I hope to sleep in my house all month. Have a great vacation!

Hi Lisa!
I'm glad you're having a break from school and excited on your vacation! It is back to school in June for kids in my place though.

Look, Sweepy got ahead of me again! And sorry he got your name wrong. The poor dear.

Hiya Lisa,
Yes, may your sense of freedom last and all possibilities come to fruition.
And you are right: this has evolved into an amazing group.
No mean feat when you recognize the recent spread of linky driven blogs.

Lisa, I know the excitement of the beginning of summer, as I was a teacher on a school schedule for almost thirty years. So glad you're able to have a mini-vacation! Enjoy!

Hi Lisa. I don't know what sort of flower that was in the photo on my blog (!!), only that it's on a perennial deciduous shrub which has burgundy coloured leaves. The flowering season is very brief but they're beautiful when they're out. I focused on the flower rather than the bee which is why the bee's out of focus! Enjoy your hols :-)

So funny reading your comments....It reminds me of how when I used to teach full time I was always desperate for the holidays. I now only work intermittently and I actually miss the excitement of that impending vacation!!! Enjoy your time off, more time for your wonderful photography!
